VSAT CRONOS

It is an innovative system intended for military communications applications. It is a state of the art, autonomous, mobile satellite terminal station VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) providing security through encryption of tactical communication needs in mobile environment (i.e. dispersed shelters, headquarters etc.).

 

The information is transmitted via satellite in a very secure way using a cryptographic device. The system can be installed in a shelter and may be vehicular mounted, while it is distinguished for its intensified mechanical characteristics.
 

It supports lots of analog and digital connection protocols with ground communication networks as well as connection capability via tactical network (EUROCOM). It should be noted that the VSAT networks provide a competitive and reliable solution to public and private telecommunication networks.

An encryption device, developed by INTRACOM Defense Electronics, ensures the information security of the whole system. The data speed can reach up to 44,5 Μbits/sec and protocols like E1/T1, EUROCOM, E3/T3 and ITU-T V.XX (V10, V11, V24, V35, V36) are supported. The encryption device may function in two different ways, either as a Bulk Encryption encrypting any incoming information or encrypting specific data stream channels.
