In the context of its participation in the EDF project 5G COMPAD (Project: 101103519 – 5G COMPAD – EDF-2021-C4ISR-D-2), IDE is pleased to announce, as the main author, that the paper entitled “Linking Independent 5G Bubbles Using Tactical IP Radios—Part I: Laboratory Deployment and Testing”, which concerns work carried out within the framework of the project, by IDE and the other Greek participating companies, Space Hellas and 8BELLS, got publication approval by the Editorial Board of the prestigious international scientific journal IEEE Access (Q1 ranked).
The paper has been published in its final form and can be accessed through the IEEE online repository (IEEE Xplore) at the following link: https://ieeexplore.ieee.org/abstract/document/11106441
The 5G COMPAD (5G Communications for Peacekeeping And Defense) project designs, prototypes and tests a reference architecture for a 5G based robust and resilient multidimensional communications system to demonstrate operational capabilities of 5G integrated in selected defence platforms and systems. It develops new and improved functionalities and improves the lifecycle cost, enhancing operational capabilities.
The 5G COMPAD consortium consists of 19 partners from 12 EU Member States.
IDE mainly contributes to study, design, prototyping and testing activities on 5G COMPAD Secure Framework Requirements and on Military Dependability Requirements.
