IDE participated in the 9th GSOF Europe Symposium 2025 which took place in Athens, between 7-9 of October 2025, co-sponsored by the Hellenic Ministry of Defense (MoD). It included a conference and exhibition which brought international Special Operations Forces (SOF) stakeholders together to network and explore topical developments, showcasing evolving solutions, monitoring sector activities, and evaluating emerging trends in the special operations.
IDE’s representatives had the pleasure to welcome experts and entrepreneurs in the SOF field of defense innovation and technologies, as well as officials of the MoDs of participating countries.
The visitors had the opportunity to be informed about the work already achieved in the distinguished European EDF project PROTEAS. The PROTEAS solution, along with its key technologies contributed by each consortium partner and intended to operate in a complementary manner to each other, were presented, demonstrating how the solution is expected to function, once the project is completed (currently at the end of the Design phase). Great interest was expressed by suppliers eager to offer their products for potential integration in the PROTEAS solution, as well as in joining the PROTEAS initiative and its commercialization timeline, once the integrated solution is fully developed.
Additionally, in the frame of shaping future capabilities and partnerships through technology discovery, users and partners discussed potential application of IDE’s systems, like the TPH-3 (Tactical Power Hub), member of IDE’s HEPS family and the C3 Flex Tactical Communications System, member of IDE’s WiSPRevo family, in SOF CONOPs.
The TPH was demonstrating part of its capabilities live by providing off-grid power to the booth during the event. The TPH-3 is a lightweight energy hub, specially designed for missions where survivability, maneuverability and power on-the-go are key requirements.
In the same context of supporting SOF critical operations, the C3 Flex, a portable and rapidly deployable communication hub, designed to meet the demanding requirements of SOF, integrates technologies from the WiSPRevo family to deliver secure, resilient, and high-performance communications across interoperable environments. Compact and modular, it provides the capability to connect different radios, enabling seamless Command, Control & Communications (C3) in the field and ensuring connectivity and operational superiority even in challenging conditions.
