On April 2nd, 2026, INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) reinforced its enduring dedication to innovation and technological advancement, through the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the University of Western Macedonia. The agreement was formalized by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. George Troullinos, and the University’s Rector, Professor Theodoros Theodoulidis. This partnership creates a strong foundation for collaboration between academia and industry, aiming to cultivate the next generation of scientists, engineers, and professionals through joint educational and research initiatives.
The collaboration includes internship opportunities, the development of undergraduate and postgraduate theses, as well as doctoral research, alongside joint initiatives between the teams of both organizations. It places strong emphasis on knowledge exchange and the advancement of innovative, high-tech solutions. In addition, it promotes interdisciplinary cooperation with University laboratories and research groups through joint participation in research programs. IDE will also take part in the University’s Career Days, providing career prospects with the goal of identifying and attracting promising new talent.
