IDE participated in COMMANDS project successful final demonstration

The European Defence Fund project COMMANDS has completed its three-year period of advanced research and development with a successful capability demonstration held in Seville, Spain, hosted by consortium partner GDELS Santa Bárbara Sistemas. During the event, the consortium members, coordinated by Sener Aerospace & Defence, showcased the project’s major results and technological advancements, reinforcing European defence cooperation and innovation.

The demonstration was attended by high-level representatives from several European Ministries of Defence, who witnessed firsthand the operation of the first unmanned logistics convoy with initial operational capability.

In this context, IDE presented its Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) technology which enables multiple manned and unmanned platforms to communicate wirelessly in a mesh networking topology.

Additionally, IDE showcased a reduced Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) version of IDE’s MANET device, entirely developed in the context of the COMMANDS project and suited for integration with small UAV platforms thus forming a Flying Ad hoc Network (FANET).

IDE extends its appreciation to GDELS for hosting this event, and to all consortium partners for their outstanding collaboration.
