INTRACOM DEFENSE had the pleasure to participate as basic sponsor of EUDIS HACKATHON 2024, the first pan-European hackathon event for “Quantum and digital technologies in Defence”, in the Pre-Event of the Hackathon which took place on 31st of May 2024 at NCSR “DEMOKRITOS” Research Center facilities and online.
Dr. Chrissavgi Dre, New Technologies Dep. Director of IDE, presented in her speech on “Artificial intelligence (AI) in Defense Systems”, the Digital Technologies, focusing on AI, that play a key role in the Modern Defense Systems.
There is a significant number of AI Applications addressed in the Defense area. However, the road towards the adoption of AI in Defense Systems is full of limitations to be overcome and challenges to be addressed. Dr. Dre presented the Key enablers for such an adoption, along with the AI technological areas that need more EU collaborative research.
The EUDIS HACKATHON is supported by the European Defense Innovation Scheme (EUDIS) and aims to raise the society awareness and defense industry stakeholders to seek solutions for existing and future security and defense issues.
