IDE supported the 4th Emerging Tech Conference for Edge Intelligence (ETCEI 2025) as a silver sponsor, held on October 24–25, 2025, at the University of West Attica, under the theme “Empowering Europe’s Chips Ecosystem through Emerging Technologies”. Organized by the Hellenic Emerging Technologies Industry Association (HETiA) and the Hellenic Chips Competence Centre (HCCC), in collaboration with the University of West Attica, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and the National Technical University of Athens, the conference brought together key stakeholders to explore advancements shaping Europe’s semiconductor and technology ecosystem.
In the context of the conference, Dr. Ioannis Bartsiokas, Wireless Communications Engineer-Researcher at IDE, presented the paper “Towards Efficient Spectrum Sensing for 5G/B5G Communications using Walsh Receivers” led by IDE’s R&D engineers, in collaboration with CEA/Leti experts. The presentation highlighted IDE’s work within the HERMES H2020 research project, showcasing the company’s involvement in advanced communication technologies, while generating strong scientific interest.
Αt IDE’s booth, Dr. Bartsiokas, along with Mr. Panagiotis Vlachos, RF Engineer and a co-author of IDE’s paper, welcomed visitors from academia, industry and government, engaging in discussions on state-of-the-art developments in microelectronics, communications, and intelligent systems as well as IDE’s research initiatives and technological expertise.
IDE’s contribution to the conference continued with the participation of Dr. Chryssavgi Dre, New Technologies Dep. Director at IDE, as a panelist in the roundtable discussion “Strengthening the Semiconductor Value Chain: From Research to Industry”. Together with representatives from leading universities and organizations, Dr. Dre exchanged views on enhancing cooperation across the semiconductor value chain, within the framework of the European Chips Act.
Reaching out to the next generation of engineers, Mr. Evangelos Kyriazis, Talent Acquisition Leader of IDE, presented the company’s activities, workforce, and career prospects during the Career Day which took place in the frame of the conference. The session attracted great interest of final-year students and young professionals, eager to learn more about IDE’s innovation-driven environment and employment opportunities.
