INTRACOM DEFENSE receives double distinction at the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026” Awards

INTRACOM DEFENSE (IDE) was honored with two significant awards at the “Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026” Awards’ Ceremony, one of Greece’s leading business awards, organized by Direction Business Network for the 11th consecutive year, on Monday, July 13th, 2026.

INTRACOM DEFENSE received the “Industry Protagonist” award, recognized as the leading Greek economy’s key industry in Defense Electronic Systems Sector, based on its 2024 financial performance and more specifically its revenue, profits before tax and cash reserves. In addition, the company was honored with the “Greek Business Champion” award, as both its revenue and profits before tax increased by more than 20% compared to the previous year.

The awards were accepted on behalf of the company by Mr. Efstathios Karagiannis, Chief Commercial Officer of IDE, who stated:

“Protagonists of the Greek Economy 2026” Awards are held under the auspices of the Ministry of Development and the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Hellenic Republic, recognizing companies that stand out for their growth, investments, extroversion and financial performance, contributing to Greece’s economic growth. The awards ceremony was honored by the presence of the Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and Government Spokesperson, Mr. Pavlos Marinakis, the Minister of Migration and Asylum, Mr. Thanos Plevris, and the Deputy Minister of National Economy and Finance, Mr. Dimitris Markopoulos, and was also attended by other distinguished representatives from the government, the business community, and academia.
