Corporate Social Responsibility

Since its establishment, INTRACOM DEFENSE has operated as a socially responsible company, undertaking initiatives to improve the quality of life of both its own community of employees and society as a whole.

IDE supports the Greek industrial sector and contributes to the growth and expansion of entrepreneurship by subcontracting significant projects to Greek companies while in parallel contributes to the Greek economy development, by increasing public sector income via taxes paid.

IDE is one of the principal sources of national know-how as it focuses on cutting-edge product development by continuously investing approximately 6% of the annual turnover. The success of its products both in Greece and abroad led to significant growth rates and the creation of new, highly specialized jobs, increasing Greece’s ‘national intellectual capital’, thus reducing brain drain.

IDE’s growth is linked to its active involvement in a wide range of social activities that endorse health and cultural initiatives (employee’s voluntary blood donations, bazaars to support the Pan Hellenic parents association of children with cancer FLOGA etc.).

Corporate Social Accountability

ISO  26000
IDE recognizes ISO 26000 as a reference document that provides guidance for implementation of socially responsible behavior.

ISO 26000 is an International Standard giving guidance about how any organization can improve its Social Responsibility and thus contribute to sustainable environmental, social and economic development.
ISO 26000 identifies seven core subjects of social responsibility, as presented below:
