PATRIOT: RAYTHEON extends the cooperation with INTRACOM Defense Electronics

May 3rd, 2010: RAYTHEON further extends its cooperation in the PATRIOT systems with INTRACOM Defense Electronics, the largest defense electronic systems manufacturer in Greece.

The $ 25 mil contract with RAYTHEON is to manufacture subsystems for the combat-proven air and missile PATRIOT defense systems of a third country and is scheduled to be completed in 3.5 years.

The aforementioned contract is a continuation of last year’s agreement between the two companies for the United Arab Emirates PATRIOT program worth $ 55.7 mil, while further expansion of the cooperation in additional subunits of the PATRIOT systems is getting explored.

The new contract reflects the reliability of INTRACOM Defense Electronics, which successfully corresponds to RAYTHEON’s expectations for high quality products in predetermined time. In parallel, the cooperation of the two companies is extended in the frame of the rising interest for PATRIOT systems, expressed by many countries.
