Raytheon selects INTRACOM Defense Electronics as a supplier for the United Arab Emirates Patriot systems

September 08, 2009: INTRACOM Defense Electronics, the largest defense electronic systems manufacturer in Greece, has been selected by Raytheon Company as a supplier in the frame of the United Arab Emirates Patriot program. The $ 55.7 mil NTE contract with Raytheon concerns the manufacturing of subsystems for the latest version of the launchers of the combat-proven Patriot air and missile defense systems. INTRACOM Defense Electronics following its standard policy, will allocate to other Greek companies a significant part of the project, which will be completed in 3.5 years.

INTRACOM Defense Electronics’ dynamic positioning in the international defense industries arena is reflected in its exports which exceed 66% of its annual revenues and is now further strengthened by this award. 

Mr. Joseph “Skip” Garrett, Vice President and Deputy for Patriot Programs at Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) stated: “Raytheon is pleased to have INTRACOM Defense Electronics’ join us once again in the manufacture of key components for the Patriot air and missile defense system.
