Visit of Hellenic National Defense College at INTRACOM Defense Electronics

November 28, 2013: In the frame of their briefing in industrial infrastructures important for the national defense and economy, students of the Hellenic National Defense College (HNDC) visited INTRACOM Defense Electronics (IDE) premises, accompanied by the HNDC Commandant Lieutenant General Mr. Georgios Barkoukis and staff officers of the college. The HNDC is the highest level of academic education for the officers and high ranking civilian personnel of the Armed Forces, and executives of the Security Forces, Coast Guard, Ministries, public organizations and other institutions in Greece. This academic year, among the students, were also high ranked officers from Albania, Armenia, Cyprus, Egypt and Germany.


Mr. George Troullinos, Chief Executive Officer of IDE, and high level executives of the company, welcomed the students and briefed them on IDE’s products and activities in the defense sector, on its expansion in the areas of military hybrid electric power systems, as well as security, surveillance and reconnaissance with internationally competitive integrated products.



Furthermore, the current partnerships with major international defense companies were presented, as well as the company’s participation in multinational development and production programs. The HNDC was also introduced to IDE’s capabilities to support the Hellenic Armed Forces. The visit was concluded with a tour in the production facilities of the company, emphasizing on the strict procedures and the significant infrastructure that have established IDE internationally, and have distinguished it as the leading company of defense electronic systems in the domestic market and the broader region.
