We are happy to announce that the Final Periodic Review meeting of the EDIDP SMOTANET (Development of Software Defined Mobile Ad-hoc Tactical Network Devices and Testbed) Project, was successfully held on the 18th & 19th of January 2024.
It was a great pleasure and honour for IDE as the project coordinator, to host this event which marked the end of the efforts carried out by the SMOTANET Consortium, over the past 3 years. The 2 days of the proceedings involved representatives of the European Commission (EC) and the supporting MoDs of Greece and Cyprus, with the Consortium’s partners performing for their benefit and feedback, a series of insightful presentations and demonstrations of the various system components and functionalities, as well as the laboratory and field tests performed.
The meeting marked the final project milestone and acted as an opportunity to recall and emphasize the challenges met and achievements reached by the project, as well as the hard and effective work performed by the SMOTANET Team, which were largely acknowledged by the EC and supporting MoDs representatives during the proceedings.
Overall, it was an exciting and precious journey, which IDE had the privilege to lead. Many thanks to EVERYONE who contributed to the project’s invaluable results!
