British Army visits IDE for Hybrid Electric Power Systems

On Thursday 2nd March, IDE had the pleasure of hosting a visit of British Army officers at its premises in Athens, Greece. The focus of the visit was to be briefed in detail about IDE’s Hybrid Electric Power Systems (HEPS®) and the options available through IDE’s advanced hybrid technology to enhance the performance, efficiency and supportability of existing conventional Diesel Generators in the inventory of the British Army. The visiting personnel had the opportunity to witness the practical demonstration of hybridizing a conventional diesel generator, through IDE’s tactical Hybridization & Energy Storage System (HESS product series), offering:

  • Enhanced power resiliency
  • Significant fuel efficiency
  • Reduced maintenance burden
  • Controlled thermal and acoustic signature

IDE’s HESS product series, with variable power outputs and scalable Energy Storage capacity, provide an immediate capability upgrade solution for any conventional tactical power asset, with minimum set-up requirements.

IDE’s Hybrid Electric Power Systems (HEPS®) are military-grade tactical systems that can be combined with existing Generators, the utility Grid and Renewable Energy Sources to overcome current operational and mission sustainment capability gaps, enable unique tactical advantages, deliver significant OpEx savings and environmental sustainability.
